Conversation part 1


WHAT IS CONVERSATION ? 


     Conversation is a conversation made by someone to others to discuss something that is considered important or not important though.  Can be done by 2 or more people in a group or meeting.

a.  Structural Conversation.

 Grammar specifications are referred to as structures.  Examples of structures include past tense, noun plurals, the comparison of adjectives, and others.  The use of English both in daily conversation and the use of writing must be appropriate in any aspect because it relates to time: past, present and future.  In addition, the use of English structure is related to the use of nouns, pronouns, articles, and various forms of adjective, verbs, and adverbs.  So, this type of conversation prioritizes grammar.  Example conversation:

 John: May I borrow your book?

 Mary: Yes, you may!

 John: By the way, will you come to my apartment tonight?

 Mary: Yes, I will.

 John: Waiter, give me two cups of coffee, please!


 b.  Functional Conversation.

 Is a conversation lesson that is intended to shape one's ability to function languages ​​according to their place and existence.  In everyday conversation (daily conversation) is often faced with something objective.  For this conversation used when a formal conversation.  Example conversation:

 John: May I borrow your book?

 Mary: Yes, please!

 John: By the way, will you come to my apartment tonight?

 Mary: With my pleasure.

 John: Waiter, give me two cups of coffee, please!

 Observe how the differences in dialogue 1 and 2 above are similar but not the same.  Now observe the following conversation carefully so that it can know its purpose.


 c.  Situational Conversation.

 Is a conversation lesson aimed at forming the ability of students to recognize special functions in communication based on informal situations.  Look at the form of the conversation below carefully:

 John: May I borrow your book?

 Mary: Yes, please!

 John: By the way, will you come to my apartment tonight?

 Mary: With my pleasure.

 John: Waiter, give me two coffees, please!
